Emmitt Thrower-President/Producer/Writer/Director/Actor Born Dallas, Arkansas Grew up in Brooklyn, NY since the age of 6. Currently a Bronx Resident-A Retired NYC Police Officer after 15 years. The owner and president of Wabi Sabi Productions a non profit corporation fiscally sponsored by "FRACTURED ATLAS." He is a recipient of the 21st Century 'Independent Spirit Award' in culture and the chairman of the "Otto Awards" for political theater. He is also one of the founding organizers of "Five Points Productions," a theater collaboration between diverse theater companies uniting to produce political theater on 42nd Street. They include New Federal Theater and Woodie King Jr, Castillo Theater and DR Fred Newman, Nuyorican Poets Cafe and Rome Neal and New Village Productions amongst others. He has Portrayed such roles onstage as MALCOLM X (AUDELCO NOMINATED ROLE), MARAT In Marat/Sade, PAUL ROBESON, PATRICE LUMUMBA, SATCHEL PAIGE, JACKIE ROBINSON, JESSE JACKSON, RICHARD PRYOR, MILES DAVIS among others. His goal artistically is to find diamonds in the rough and help develop them, then release them into the universe.

Angélica L. Most recently, Ms. Thomas consulted as an education attorney with Victory Schools, Inc. Victory School is one of the nation’s most successful private managers of public schools and a national leader in the movement for whole school reform. At Victory Schools, Ms. Thomas provided governance and legal advice to charter school boards and principals, structured, negotiated and drafted complex school management agreements, loan documents, employment contracts, and managed the Company’s risk management and school safety programs. Prior to joining Victory Schools, Ms. Thomas was Counsel at Platform Learning Inc., a private tutoring company. While at Platform Learning, Ms. Thomas supported the General Counsel with all legal and compliance matters, including contract negotiations and general corporate matters, complex litigation and risk management, finance, insurance, and labor and employment issues. Ms. Thomas was also involved with direct government relations and lobbying efforts regarding federal and state funding and legislation initiatives for No Child Left Behind Law. After completing law school, Ms. Thomas joined the New York law firm of Nixon Peabody LLP in its commercial litigation practice group. In addition to handling commercial litigation matters, Ms. Thomas supervised the paralegal staff at the Firm’s New York City and Garden City offices, and participated in several pro bono projects to assist political refugees. Ms. Thomas holds a Bachelor of Arts from Bard College and Juris Doctor from University of Miami School of Law. Ms. Thomas is a native of Panamá City, Panamá. She resides in the Kensington neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York. She enjoys spending time with her family, supporting the arts, engaging in physical fitness activities and participating in youth empowerment and community building initiatives. She is a member of the bar in New York.
